Amazon Prime Review + Free 30 Day Trial

Everything you knew and everything you need to know about the subscription service in a nutshell

Okay, so I am sure you have heard of Amazon Prime! I am even positive most of you reading have either tried it through a family member or have subscribed to it yourself in the past. If you are looking to test it out you can grab a month of membership for FREE here. I personally love this membership and in my home I am the member everyone mooches off!😂

Many things have changed with Amazon Prime over the years and it has only been for the better! In a nutshell, Amazon Prime offers:

  1. FREE 2-day shipping - if you have used Amazon before without the Prime subscription you will notice you need to have a minimum amount for your purchase for this option to be made available. However, with the Prime subscription, you do not need to have an X amount in your cart, in order to be able to qualify for 2-day shipping. I one time bought hair clips that arrived the next day at the total price of $5. This alone is worth the subscription service for me, as it pays for itself with all the packages I get.

  2. FREE reading with their Prime Reads Program- You do not need to subscribe separately to this; as a prime member, you are auto-enrolled. The program has a wide selection of current books, magazines, and newspapers that you can download straight to your device to view more conveniently offline.

  3. access to thousands of FREE tv-series and movies to stream- Prime Studios has produced its own series, such as The Man in the High Castle, Hanna, and Jack Reacher. However, you can binge-series like Vikings, Animal Kingdom, Yellowstone, and Sons of Anarchy for FREE too. It is very convenient and I find that Amazon Prime has tv network series available sooner than Netflix. For example, at the end of Animal Kingdom's last season, I was able to binge the series instead of having to wait 6 months to a year for it to show up on Netflix.

In a nutshell, I love this subscription service because it has everything I need. I can purchase products without having to worry about shipping, I can find something new to read without having to stretch my budget, and I can watch the latest tv-series without having to pay for cable! Now that you know the basics let's talk numbers. 🤑

Subscriptions and FREE Trials:

Currently, the yearly subscription is $130 and the monthly subscription is $13. If you are a student you can get the yearly subscription for half the price at $65.

Pro Tip: if you are a student, meaning if you have taken at least two courses in the past year, you can qualify for the Student Prime Membership all you need is access to your transcripts. I currently pay for the Amazon Student Membership, because I have taken 2 courses for professional development within the past year. As a student, you have access to an even bigger discount. Grab your FREE 6-month trial here.

If you decided to continue with Prime as a student you would be paying $65 for 18 months of Prime ( $3.60 a month)😱.

Disclaimer: Each year Amazon will require verification that you are still a student.
