BOOK OF THE MONTH

Have you ever wondered what your life would look like if you had the chance to make a different choice? Oona on the eve of turning 19 has to make some hard decisions. She finds herself being able to go down two different paths. As she travels back and forth through time she is able to learn from mistakes she technically has not even made yet. I am obsessed with this book so far. I cannot wait to find out how it ends!

This book is beautifully written and even though the protagonist is 15, Ana's relatability is astounding. Follow Ana on her journey from the Dominican Republic to New York in the hopes of finding a better life by marrying a man above her station. Witty, and heartbreakingly charming I find that Ana Cancion's thoughts follow my own. We all are being sold a dream not realizing what is right in front of us. What is success if not being happy? 

I have been struggling to make my smaller space feel more like home. This read has allowed me to take a moment and reevaluate how I can make my small space feel more inviting. Especially, with our current pandemic I want my space to feel as cozy as possible. You should check it out!
